Overall Comment:"We had previously tried out a voip phone product from a different vendor that failed spectacularly, and during the pandemic we needed something reliable for everyone out of the office. Once we switched to 8x8 it worked so effectively our business went permanently remote. 8x8 provides great customization, ease of use for users, ease of use to administer and expand, along with great features such as call centers/loops/pools and a great inter-user text chat system. The best part is that it doesn't require dedicated hardware, installing the app on a smart phone turns it into a fully featured office line. "
The standout would have to be the ease of use for both users and administrators. Some of our employees are not the most tech savvy and were able to start using the service with minimal training.
The dislikes of the service would have to be the frequency in which the desktop applications need to be updated manually. It's understandable for feature and security updates, but it would be nice if it was more automatic. Another weakness to the platform would be the video meetings. The sound quality and the video quality is not always the best, and unless the meeting participants have ear buds, the audio feedback render it unusable whenever that person speaks.
