DHL is one of the largest players globally, possessing excellent and vast knowledge as a company and professionals who are leaders in their fields, a broad market vision, and the ability to connect key insights for practical application. Their sense of urgency and service are exceptional, and in my view, they represent a world-class level of excellence in terms of concern for the client's business. As an opportunity, I see the possibility of exploring new technologies and market trends in Supply Chain, bringing even more value to clients. I also find the IT area somewhat bureaucratic and slow in meeting demands.

My overall experience with 4vation was that it became most valuable once we stopped looking at logistics as just transportation and started using it as part of product control. I oversee quality across multiple manufacturing sites in different countries, and in our environment we cannot treat a shipment as “ready” just because production is finished. With complex chemical products, every batch has to stay traceable from raw ingredient to semi-finished to finished goods, and that traceability has to hold through testing, release, storage, shipment, and customer delivery. If a lot fails, is put on hold, has to be segregated, or in the worst case recalled, we need to know exactly what moved, where it went, what order it was tied to, and what else may have been affected. That is the real context in which we used 4vation. What I appreciated most was that it gave us better visibility across the space between internal product disposition and external execution. Before that, we were constantly bridging gaps between manufacturing status, quality release, order demand, warehouse staging, and freight movement. Those gaps create real risk in a regulated and traceability-heavy environment. A batch can be physically available but not quality-cleared. A customer order can be urgent but still linked to material under review. A warehouse can stage product correctly from a shipping perspective but still create traceability exposure if the wrong lots are mixed. 4vation did not eliminate that complexity, but it gave us one operational layer where we could see the handoff points more clearly and manage them with less scrambling.
