The ability to restore entire systems quickly in the event of an outage greatly improves business continuity and minimizes downtime. Built-in Cybersecurity and Ransomware Protection Unlike most backup platforms, Acronis includes active protection against ransomware, malware, and zero-day threats. This proactive defense helps ensure that backups themselves are secure and recoverable. Centralized Management Console for MSPs and Enterprises The multi-tenant dashboard allows administrators or Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to manage multiple clients and environments from one place. It simplifies deployment, monitoring, and maintenance at scale.
When testing out backup's, agent deployment wasn't as streamlined as I'd hoped. We had to manually install the agent on each machine with the specific settings for what we needed. The biggest frustration we had with Cyber Protect Cloud was that when we demo'd the software, we had the capability to save backups to a 3rd party cloud storage backup solution, which in our case was Wasabi, but our purchased licenses did not have this capability. My last frustration was working with support to resolve the issue of no 3rd party cloud storage option, which took almost 2 months to find a resolution, and we were never given that capability back because apparently the licensing matrix was not accurate and we needed to purchase an elevated subscription outside of our budget.

Complex Pricing and Licensing Structure The pricing model can be confusing due to multiple service tiers, add-ons, and different cloud storage options. Understanding the full cost of ownership often requires detailed consultation with a reseller or partner. Limited Reporting and Integration Options The built-in reporting tools are functional but somewhat basic. More advanced customization, analytics, and integrations with third-party MSP or SIEM tools would make management and compliance tracking easier. Inconsistent Technical Support Experience While Acronis generally provides good documentation, user experiences with technical support vary. Some customers report slow response times or difficulty getting detailed assistance for complex disaster recovery cases.
