Adobe Premiere Pro Likes & Dislikes

It's flexibility and speed. It allows me to move quickly from raw footage to finished content without limiting what I can create. The timeline is easy to manage, even on complex edits, and the integration into After Effects and Photoshop makes motion graphics and overlays straightforward.

I like how precise it can be and how easy it is to cut and the quality of the video. I guess it's very when known and well built, but for a time that has passed and so much more innovation has come.

The most impressive part of Premiere Pro lately is the intergation of Text-Based Editing. Being able to generate a trascript and then edit the video by simply deleting sentences in the text has fundamentally changed how i handle long-form interviews. It saves hours of hunting for soundbites.

The main drawback with Adobe PP is how demanding it can be on system performance. Large projects, especially 4K footage, multiple layers and heavy effects can slow down timelines and exports. This can be frustrating at times.

It's mostly very hard to learn and even the basic stuff takes forever to get done. Simpler and less expensive video editors on the market such as Capcut can do a similar job (depending on what's needed) way easier and in a much shorter time. It also doesn't have easy access to assets that can help your editing and make it faster to create.

My biggest frustration is the instability that often follows a major version update. While Abode releases new features frequently, they come with 'legacy bugs' that affect hardware acceleration or GPU rendering.
