Guardicore is quite easy to implement and use. It allows for a quick and efficient way to apply controls, micro-segment, and/or, if necessary, resume/exception without significant risks or delays (less than 30 seconds between block and alert at the policy level, which is very user-friendly). While it does have some minor issues on legacy servers (Windows 2000, Windows 2003, AIX, Red Hat 4 - 64-bit, and Red Hat 8 and later that support Secure Boot - unexpected bugs and problems), Akamai continues to work hard to mitigate and ensure the agent's functionality. Aside from the aforementioned issues, it is very simple, straightforward, and quick to install on all other Windows/Linux operating systems, including on-premises servers, virtual machines, and/or user PCs. It is noteworthy that it does not interfere with other services/processes on the servers and does not require a restart during either installation or purge. There are some details or points for improvement at the Grafana dashboard level; limitations in how the overview visualization is displayed (Grafana is not editable) and difficulties in making transparent the RAM/CPU capacity that the particular tenant has.

Reliable and scalable solution with strong support, but room for improvement in customization and intergrations
My overall experience with the product has been positive. The product delivers trong performance and reliability, meeting most of our expectations. The implementation process was smooth and the platform has helped improve operational efficiency and visibility. Akamai Guardicore Segmentation has been a very effective solution for improving visibility and controlling lateral movement across servers and critical environments. Stable operation and rapid communication visibility even in widespread company-wide deployments.
Initially, the plan was for a limited implementation intended to replace existing systems, but after it was handed over to my department, we decided to proceed with a wide-ranging company-wide deployment.
