The feature we find the most valuable is the Firewall Analyzer for the firewall policy audits and to show external auditors we have a process to identify risks and to tackle them. It's also very important for policy clean maintenance, as we can quickly check which rules were never used, and even inside the used rules, which sources, destinations or services were never hit. This way we can have a clear policy on all our devices.
The tool offers strong automation capabilities, significantly reducing the need for manual intervention and human resources. Additionally, the sales staff has been excellent in providing support and guidance throughout the process.
Algosec provides deep visibility into firewall rules and network paths, helping to quickly identify redundant, conflicting or risky rules. Fireflow makes the entire firewall change process far more efficient and auditable. Approvals, implementation and validation are all streamlined. Automated Risk analysis and compliance checks against frameworks like PCI-DSS or ISO save significant time during audits. Works seamlessly across vendors like Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, etc. giving a unified view of the entire network. Overall, its feature-rich and stable platform that has improved both our visibility and compliance posture for our team.
It was quite difficult to map all our network in Algosec because we use some unsupported out of the box switches like for example Dell. If we had all our switches from Cisco everything would be smoother. But there is always some ways to put it to work.
While the product offers valuable features, there are several areas that could benefit from enhancement: Support Process & Response Time Product Management Testing & Quality Assurance
The product has extensive configuration options, which can be overwhelming for new admins without proper onboarding. Running very detailed reports across large rule bases can occasionally take longer than expected. Setting up integrations and defining workflows across multiple firewall vendors requires careful co-ordination. Despite these minor issues, the solution remains stable, dependable and delivers solid value once fully tuned.

We have been using Algosec on or company for more than 8 years now. Our main usage is to audit our firewall policies and get a daily report on all of them in case the report security rate for some reason drops (maybe someone added a firewall rule that has opened more accesses than it should). This helps us to have control on our firewalls and on the overall network security.
