Although Aras Innovator is an amazing tool for complex BOM management, the integration issues were huge obstacles. Messy interface amid dedicated product data and ERP obstructed real-time choices and led to delays. For companies with powerful ERP systems being implemented, that could be a negotiation stopper.

Aras can be connected to each tool and platform. Their is no restriction. You can very easy build up interfaces to other platforms like ERP, MES and CRM. The data-model can be changed completely. This isnt possible in any other Plattform.

Having Aras Innovator, I could see all the product components clearly with the structural multi level dependencies. This helped me avoid mistakes in tracking changes and complete component accounting. This convenience is particularly useful for the process of producing complex components that fall under the category of discrete manufacturing.

I really like that the platform is fully browser-based and highly flexible. Customization can be implemented quickly without long development cycles. The open architecture and API connectivity make it very powerful for integration AI and extended enterprise.

Their are less out of the box possibilities/applications. In new technologies like AI, the platform is lacking behind the market. But: No other PLM System does it better. Because of the openness you can integrate functionalities via other tools in your own! Also the UI could be more user-centric and modern.

In the implementation process, I found myself with the most hurdles. This includes the lack of data mapping consistency and synchronisation problems in real time data. As a result, the information of products no longer supported accurate procedures, causing a great deal of awkwardness.

Overall, there are very few points of criticism. Sometime a framework for frontend development testing could make certain tasks faster.
