High quality and good integration capabilities
The scalability of the Teamcenter solution that allows us to fully leverage it across the globe at all of our technical centers and plants. The flexibility of the tool allows our multiple different business units to tailor the processes to fit their needs. Teamcenter has features and functions that are very mature within the use cases of our business segment.
While our organization has benefited greatly from Teamcenter's extensive extensibility to preserve legacy processes, we see an opportunity to align our custom extensions with Siemens' latest enhancements. This will turn our solid foundation into an even stronger, future-ready PLM solution.
The in-depth technical support is limited
The end-user interface had historically been clunky and not intuitive for casual users, but has since been modernized on a HTML 5 web browser greatly improving the user experience. Teamcenter is very feature rich and accommodates processes across the entire lifecycle of a product, but that can create dependency on very robust technical and knowledge support. Teamcenter allows flexibility and adaptation, which can lead to end users to create process variations and stray from common process.
