Performance of AWS Certificate Manager Across Market Features
AWS Certificate Manager Likes & Dislikes
- With automatic renewals, you don't need to track and manage certificate renewals anymore - If you're using a public certificate issued by ACM with integrated AWS services then there is no cost involved - Integrates seamlessly with a bunch of AWS services including CloudFront, ALB, NLB, gateways etc. - It can also integrate with AWS private CA to issue internal certificates
-good price -suitable for aws platform -integrate well with other resource in aws
* Automatic certificates renewal * Seamless AWS integration * Zero cost for public certificates
- Private PKI is not cheap since there is a monthly CA cost plus a per-certificate charge - It's not that flexible when it comes to installing certificates directly on the instance or non-AWS platforms - There are some service quotas like number of certificates, SAN limits etc.
-not able to use same certificate across region -not able to use for other cloud platform and on-premise -not available to also 3rd party and client server
* AWS Vendor lock-in * Limited flexibility with external DNS provider (Route 53 simplifies a lot the process) * Not all AWS regions offer the service

ACM Offers Cost-Free HTTPS in AWS but Limited Flexibility for External Use
As an admin, it's a relief not to manage the certificate renewals anymore and AWS certificate manager just provides this functionality. If all your workloads are on AWS, then ACM is a no brainer. Plus, it's at zero cost to use it with AWS native services. Simply attach and forget. This is a big win for getting HTTPS everywhere without a procurement hit. - CHIEF ENGINEERING OFFICER<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
AWS Certificate Manager Simplifies Management Yet Limits Flexibility With DNS Providers
AWS Certificate Manager is a solid solution for managing SSL/TLS certificates. Automatic provisioning and renewal of certificates significantly reduced our operations overhead, greatly reducing the risk of certificate expiration. Main limitation is vendor lock-in - HEAD OF CLOUD50M-1B USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source

Certificate Manager Simplifies Renewals but Documentation Lacks Detailed Explanations
The certificate manager works as expected and is very user intuitive. Regarding certificate renewal it reduces a lot the manual effort of renewing it. Also great to scale for multiple environments and integration with IaC - IT Manager10B+ USDRetailReview Source
Reliable, scalable and hassle-free cert management
AWS Certificate Manager has been an solid tool for managing SSL/TLS certificates in our environment. It has helped a lot to simplify the process of issuing, deploying, and renewing certificates, which used to be a manual and error-prone task. Automation for renewals and easy integration with other AWS services has worked very well. The only challenge we faced was the initial learning curve in understanding how to properly configure the certificate validation, especially with DNS-based validation, but once set up, it has been pretty seamless, all in all.
