FAVORABLE

“IMAL Delivers Strong Transaction Stability But Lacks Innovation in Mobile Banking Solution”

4.0
Dec 8, 2025
Overall experience with IMAL has been mostly positive, largely due to its flexibility and its stability in handling day-to-day transactions, if the configurations are set properly. Of course, there is room for improvement in terms of change management. We expect Azentio to be more proactive in terms of time and quality when it comes to critical regulatory changes.

Performance of Azentio iMAL Islamic banking Across Market Features

Azentio iMAL Islamic banking Likes & Dislikes

Like

1 - Scalability in terms of opening new branches, with minimum configurations to be done. 2 - User Access control, to the GL level. 3 - Flexibility and stability.

Like

Strong compliance, modular design, real-time processing, and suitability for Islamic banking.

Like

Technical Knowledge, engaging support, always willing to help/assist with any queries, questions or concerns that we have - always looking for a way to provide a solution to any problems that we raise.

Dislike

There is nothing as such which we dislike about the product or service. Whatever the core product is available delivers 100% value, if configured effectively from the beginning. We would rate the mobile banking solution on the lower side as its not innovative and not up to the UAE market standards.

Dislike

Performance limitations, customization difficulties and scalability issues

Dislike

Using Open Source Tomcat Apache means there is no proper support available for open-source applications. Operating on the Oracle platform requires specialized skills and personnel. The outdated power builder applications that are still in use instead of modernised java based applications - the system we have is a hybrid of web and windows applications.
