Overall combination of ease of use, meaningful impact reporting, and the ability to support a wide range of nonprofits makes Bright Funds a good system for us.
Makes it super easy for any employee to understand how the system is used. Its very easy for an organization to adjust and customize how matching and donation programs work.
- support response lag: when we have technical issues/questions, it takes a long time to get support - disbursement and financial handling can be a bit hard to understand - the standard reports are good for a general review but don't give you the full picture
I dislike that some of the local or niche charitable organizations can be difficult to find or add to the platform. Occasional navigation and customization limitations, especially when trying to tailor giving options more precisely.
Any time we had issues or roadblocks, it was rather hard to get support from customer service. It would be sporadic in accuracy as well, forcing admins to figure out a lot of things on their own. We also had a lot of trouble adding local organizations to include for donations.
