It's straightforward, user-friendly, and fairly reliable.
Ease of use. Features that allow us to organize and manage our video content. Ability to handle multiple languages. Ability for our tech team to use APIs to automate much of our video processes.
Complex integration of its features & its complex interfaces too. It is not easy for a new user to get familiar with its power & utilization.
There have been some new features since I started using Brightcove, and I was excited to see that I could edit a text track directly on the platform. Unfortunately, when I do this, it creates bugs like deleting spaces or inserting random characters in subtitles. The worst part is that it doesn't create errors consistently so it's hard to avoid whatever is causing them.
1. Slow caching- changes/edits to video metadata can take awhile to show up on the platform 2. No HTML formatting options (even paragraph breaks) in the long description fields on videos 3. Clunkiness of support system- have to visit another site with a different login/account to submit tickets.
