I like it when its working and the ease of sending returns to other CCH Axcess users. It keeps itself up to date requirements wise
My tax co-workers have been happy about having a more granular workflow system. That's all I really can say on the 'like' front.
I appreciate how this tool streamlines workflows and integrates seamlessly with other tools. Its cloud-based platform simplifies automation tasks and helps in handling data and document management.
While being sold the product, we were told it was 100% cloud and nothing needs to be installed on your computer. However, that was false because the salesman didnt know what a client was. You need to install a client that includes a dashboard, Install and Update, and Tax interface. When updates are available, they are forced on unless you have this turned off. But that feature doesnt stay turned off after update, so every user has to remember to turn it back on. Good luck with that. After every update, it practically requires a WK folder to cleared out. This is the Cache. Users have to do this themselves because after years of updates, they cant figure out how to have the update do this itself. In addition, its not recommended you use it with a proxy. THey would like no proxy being used. If you use a proxy, you have to edit two buried files and edit them FOR EVERY TECH UPDATE. Because it wipes them away and CCH can't figure out how to preserve these settings after every update. And this took CCH Support A FULL WEEK to figure this out for use. FYI, I was told by a tech person years ago, Wolters Kluer doesn't write the software. They purchased it from someone. So the delay apparently is when things get technical, it has to go through some channels.
As an auditor, this is not meant for you despite the customization of the product. It's more of a square peg-round hole type situation, and you're better served looking elsewhere. Overall, the system is clunky and visually unappealing.
Integration with some third-party systems can be a bit challenging at times.
