“Limited Configuration Options and HA Issues Noted in Checkpoint 1550 Experience”

As a network team lead, i have worked with 200 checkpoint 1550 with the smartconsole centralised management. It works well with the centralised management dashboard. It does the job. However, in terms of options, I find it a bit limited. Also, the HA technology for these small business appliances is very flaky. We get a lot of issues with the HA.

The GUI of the product is very cool, easy to understand, and it has the ability to show each category in a different GUI. It has a fantastic feature of how many devices are connected to the end point and what are those, it will show up easily, we can able to check easily how many phones and how many laptops . desktops are connected to the gateway. and its has threat protection as well, when any bot activity comes in the any system or any device, it will detect and give a pop up message and email to the Admin of the checkpoint.
