My overall experience with Sophos Firewall in a hospital work environment has been extremely positive. In a setting where the security of sensitive patient data and the operational continuity of IT infrastructure are critical Sophoa has proven to be a reliable, effective , and easy-to-manage solution. The user interface is intuitive , which has made daily management easier even in complex evironment like healthcare. Features such as granular traffic control , advanced threat protection, and real-time monitoring have been essential in securing the network and connected device, including those used for diagnostics clinical systems. The integration with Sophos Central has been especially valuable , allowing us to centrally manage security across both firewalls and endpoints, improving our responsiveness to alerts and anomalies. The tecnical support has also been responsive and competent whenever we needed assistance. In summary Sophos Firewall has played a significant role in strengthening the cybersecurity posture of the hospital environment where i work , without compromising service accessibility , and has actively supported our compliance and data protection needs.

After evaluating several options on the market, we chose the Sophos XGS 3200 firewall with the Xstream Protection bundle, and it has proven to be the right fit for our needs. Management is straightforward: through Sophos Central we can configure policies, monitor traffic, and access reporting from a single interface, even remotely. For our small IT team, that saves real time. On the protection side, the bundle covers every layer of traffic. Network Protection with IPS and Sophos X-Ops intelligence blocks intrusion attempts, while Web Protection handles web filtering, application control, and malware protection. We are using Sophos firewall. Good thing about Sophos firewall is its simple GUI. To enhance protection Sophos is providing IDPS/Advanced Threat Protection and Zero Day Protection. It provides next-generation firewall protection that blocks unknown threats and automatically responds to incidents by isolating compromised systems. Sophos Firewall offers top-notch visibility into both known and unknown threats, ensuring the network is secure automatically. Zero Touch deployment enables the initial configuration to be performed in Sophos Central and exported for loading onto the device from a flash drive at start up. Managing application traffic routing over multiple WAN links and interconnecting a distributed network is a good feature of Sophos Firewall. Sophos Firewall blocks the latest ransomware and breaches with high performance stream DPI including next-gen IPS, Web Protection and app control. With the rise of hybrid learning models, Sophos firewalls help secure remote access to school networks, protecting sensitive data and ensuring uninterrupted learning.

The firewall setup documentation was very helpful and thorough. Most, though not all, things are intuitive in setup and maintenance. The VPN Remote Access and Management Console are great, though I do wish the drill down of reports was a bit easier to navigate when trying to track down a specific threat or a user violating a policy.
