What I appreciate most about Sophos Firewall is its ability to provide comprehensive and centralized protection while maintaining a simple and intuitive mangement interface . In particular , I find the integration with Sophos central extremely valuable as it allows unified monitoring and control of firewalls, endpoints, and other security device from a single platform. Another key strenght is the effectiveness of its advanced security features, such as IPS, web and application filtering, and protection against ransomware and zero-day threats through sandboxing technology (Sandstorm). These features have proven reliable in protecting highly sensitive data, such as patient information , while ensuring operational continuity even in critical situations. Lastly , i really appreciate the clarity of reports and alert, which help us respnd quickly to any anomalies, along with the availability of knowledgeable tecnical support , always ready to provide targeted assistance.

When we had a hardware issue with one of our firewalls, the Sophos support team was quick to dispatch a replacement. They are friendly and helpful! Additionally, the MDR feature is outstanding, as is the support and communication from that team. A piece of software we had in our organization had become target on a malicious code exploit attack, and the MDR team stepped in to assist us. The Endpoint piece of Sophos blocked the software and prevented our employees from accessing it, while the MDR team stepped in and advised our IT admin team on the next steps. This saved us potentially dozens of hours of work, but more importantly, it really saved our bacon and prevented serious damages to our infrastructure.

Although my overall experience with Sophos Firewall has been very positive, one aspect i appreciate less is that some advanced configurations can be time-consuming and require a certain learning curve, especially for those who are already familiar with the Sophos environment. additionally , i've noticed that detailed reports can sometimes take a bit loger load or navigate, particularly when managing higt traffic volumes or multiple locations. Lastly, while the level of protection is exellent, the licensing and renewal costs can be somewhat high, especially for healthcare facilities operating under tight budgets .

Some of the firewall interface, in addition to the Sophos Central navigation itself, can be a bit clunky. If we have a question on where something is located in these systems, the Sophos documentation online is dated or often times links to articles that have been removed.
