The intuitive interface and ease of use are standout features, making day-to-day management straightforward. Its robust monitoring tools provide deep visibility into network activity, which has been instrumental in quickly identifying and resolving issues.
The product works great and the platform is robust. It does real well at detecting and preventing threats. It is also very reliable.
In my opinion, the strenght of firewalls lies in their easy of management and configuration. At the hardware level, depending on the model, they are extremely robust and high-capacity devices. Another aspect worth highlighting is the manufacturer's technical support. We've had a few software issues that the partner couldn't resolve, but the Palo Alto engineers quickly figured out how to handle them.
While I don't have any specific complaints about the PA-3410, it does come with a steep learning curve. The platform offers a wide range of powerful features, but fully understanding and utilizing them requires a significant investment of time and training.
The sales and support teams have declined drastically over the last couple of years.
The aspect I like least, aside from the price of the equipment, is the firmware updates and version upgrades. All the problems we've had have stemmed from a software change. You have to be very careful when upgrading the firewall.
