Cisco Secure Access with Cisco SD-WAN Likes & Dislikes

Like

I like the combination of reliable SD-WAN performance with built-in security, especially for logistics businesses with many sites and time-critical operations; the ability to prioritize applications and maintain stable connectivity across warehouses and branch offices has been a big benefit.

Like

What I like most is honestly its seamless intergradation between networking and security. This allows us to enforce consistent security policies for branch locations and remote users without managing multiple standalone solutions. The centralized dashboard gives clear visibility into traffic, users and threats, which makes monitoring and troubleshooting much easier.

Like

The network performance is stable and reliable even during peak usage. Second, centralized management makes monitoring and changes much easier, and last but not least, scales well as business needs grow without major rework.

Dislike

Main challenge for me has been the initial setup and complexity, especially when integrating secure access with existing SD WAN policies. My team has also found that licensing and cost structures can be difficult to navigate, particularly when scaling to may sites and users, which is very common in our logistics environment.

Dislike

What I dislike the most is the initial complexity during the setup and policy configuration. For teams that are new to Cisco Secure Access and SD-WAN integration, there is a noticeable learning curve and understanding how different policies interact can take time.

Dislike

Initial setup and configuration can be complicated and time consuming. second will require skilled resources to troubleshoot advanced issues. Third, the documentation could be clearer for faster problem resolution.

Cisco Secure Access Offers Reliability But Simplification Needed for Daily Management

    4.0
    Jan 31, 2026
This is a solid product overall, does what it promises and integrates well with SD-WAN. Performance and security are reliable, but there is still room for improvement around simplicity and day-to-day management. That's why a 4 not a 5.
