The simplicity and cohesiveness of Cato Sase Cloud is what i find most appealing. It eliminates the need for me to manage several tools or providers by combining networking and security into a single platform. One major benefit is the centralized managment, which makes it simple to monitor traffic and enforce regulations from one location. I also value their global backbone's rapid implementation and dependable performance.
Easy to implement and offers strong built-in security features.
1) Integrated product suite with a true single pane experience 2) Continually evolving feature set where most enhancements are not for charge additions 3) Cloud based nature of offering means a single ruleset regardless of location or access method
The lack of personalization in Cato Sase Cloud is what i find most annoying. At times, it feels a bit restrictive when trying to implement more advanced or specific configurations compared to traditional solutions.
It takes too much time to address and resolve reported issues
The current approach to logging events relies on a Data Lake service. While you get 2M events/hr for free, you have to pay for a rate above that. So we have about 17M events/hr as we track everything, we had to buy more data blocks, an expense we were not counting on. As architected, Cato does not allow simply sending events to a SIEM, you must by Data Lake space. A minor thing we ran into was shipment of the hardware components into Brazil, which was a slow and expensive (relative to the value of the hardware shipped anyway) process for us.
