Our schedule of two 5 minute training videos per month for all staff is light enough so they are not a burden, and are frequent enough to keep security concepts in mind. It would otherwise be easy for staff to forget concepts as they are engaged in their every day work.
First and foremost, CyberSecOp has seasoned professionals who are able to support and move projects forward. Their seasoned professionals were able to effectively support our initiatives and keep projects moving forward. Their understanding of the unique challenges and nuances of higher education was extremely valuable. Most importantly, they offered thoughtful, relevant solutions without pushing unnecessary products or services.
We've had the opportunity to work with a few different vCISO's over the past 4 years and they were all very seasoned and had years of experience in security. I know we always get top talent when we work with CyberSecOp.
None really... at first I was concerned that the cartoon-y nature of the videos would be a problem for our staff to take them seriously, but they've been well-received.
There wasn't anything that stood out as a major concern. CyberSecOp provides a strong and dependable service. However, if I had to identify a few considerations: 1. Resource Commitment - The service was exceptional, and at times I found myself wishing for a dedicated, full-time resource to keep our cybersecurity posture advancing consistently. 2. On-Site Presence - While the remote support worked well, having someone on-site occasionally could have further strengthened our collaboration with our internal teams. 3. Transitioning resources - I grew genuinely attached to the professionals supporting us. They became trusted partners, and it was difficult to see them transition off the project.
I cannot think of any experiences that I would point out as weaknesses.
