For us it was the only product in the market that would allow to centralize, in a easy way, a data catalog from multiple database technologies (Key pair, SQL, MongoDB, etc.). Product has a lot of features and I really loved how great was customer support and how eager they were to listen for new features/improvements for the next release.

Good metadata management tool.

Many features realised that fit perfect in the user requirements, stable and relyable.
Installation very easy, usecases really oriented on my requirements. I was looking for a tool to document the structure of our MSSQL Databases and store the documentation in its own database. Dataedo is obviously the only tool that follows that approach. The export to pdf and html works very fine. Many nice features, e.g. "uses" and "used by" shows at tables and views where they are used in other views. Additional its a poor mans backup of skripts. Already a great tool that just keeps getting better
We implemented Dataedo about 3 or 4 years ago. The driver then was mostly to develop data dictionaries for our bespoke systems. Dataedo was exactly what we were looking for in terms of features and pricing (we are a small non-for -profit organisation). The team at Dataedo have always been very responsive and receptive to customer feedback. I really value their great customer service and motivation to keep improving their product.
