The Comstore that both the community and Datto orchestrated is very useful with additional components and monitors available all the time to improve remote management and reporting abilities. Patch management just works, there is no need to worry about patching anymore as it just delivers and structures alerts around the process as well. Finally, the remote access just works, it provides remote control without fail each and every time its needed, even on limited bandwidth.
The user interface is nice
Being able to manage our fleet of PCs with ease and being able to filter the the list on things like programs installed, very handy when switching software and finding pc's that scripts haven't run on
The integrations are slightly lacking and slow progress is being made. VSA is often treated as the preferred product and more development goes into new features here whereas Datto RMM gets them at a later date. Software Management can be abit hit and miss, in terms of cleaning up apps such as multiple versions of Teams being installed.
Comstore, Community Comstore and Knowledge base are worthless. Patching and endpoint auditing are inconsistent at best. You will need to write all of your own scripts. They will sell you tones of scripts you can use in the comstore, but they are worthless. Built-in web remote tools won't connect half the time. You will need to use splashtop if you can get Datto to install it on the end point. File browser doent tell you the date modified or the folder size. Basically worthless. No queries to show you printers and other hardware installed on the machine. All of these issues I have created tickets on only to have them closed when they cant find a solution.
sometimes when remotely running CMD command can you cant run them a admin easily but mostly can be overcome and the agent not install via group policy but i think that is a windows problem not datto
