Domotz Likes & Dislikes
Direct device management in the Domotz app works well. This eliminates the need for a VPN connection while maintaining security. Domotz gives the user the ability to power cycle devices directly in its software (in most cases). It's great to not have to go directly to the devices for this feature. I like that with a small little hardware appliance you can manage an entire network. This eliminates the need for a dedicated server or workstation.

Domotz provided effortless deployment and setup. The dashboard is clean, well-organized, and intuitive. This makes it easy to navigate through the various features.
The cost structure isn't my favorite and it's changed from what it used to be. With this pricing system, you choose which devices to manage and pay for each month (or annually) and then you can have unlimited monitored devices. I'd prefer not to have to decide which devices are worthy to be managed (ie which ones I would need to pay for). Network scans found all of my devices but it took a lot of time to sort and manage them in a way that made sense to me. Search filters helped but the software didn't feel as user friendly as I would have liked to give me a dashboard that I could use daily. Domotz almost does too good of a job scanning networks in that it finds devices that would never need to be managed, such as guest computers. That all makes sense except you get giant inventory lists of devices that need to be filtered (see previous comment).
-The mobile version is not really friendly. -some settings are not being saved for future reference - multi user / network management is a bit of a hassle at first
Pricing Concerns: Cost for Small Organizations like us, we found the per-device or per-location pricing model can become expensive. Initial Learning Curve: While we generally found it user-friendly, some advanced features required a more significant learning investment.

Domotz is a good product that requires some patience in setting up. The inventory scans of the network are thorough and provide a decent amount of management functionality. I was hoping for a more user-friendly interface but found that search filters and device sorting was a little cumbersome. Although it has limited functionality regarding custom scripts comparative to some of its competitors, the price to performance value is unmatched. It offers an easy to administer and maintain network monitoring solution that has many beneficial tools and features baked in for IT & Security admins alike!
