Drake Tax is a time saving tool as it provides functions to expedite the tax preparation process such as electronic filing, calculation shortcuts and automated data entry. This tool enables safe communication, effective client management and document storage. Drake Tax can easily integrate with other financial software for any kind of data transfer.
The software has been kept visually similar to the past few years so it was easy for me to train the team in using it.
- Preparing returns takes a lot longer than other software in the market. - It looks a little dated. - Switching between screens is not intuitive. - Inability to work in the cloud without paying more per user.
The pricing is a bit higher, which can be a barrier for smaller firms practicing tax. They need to improve there support team to respond on time to resolve the issue on priority.
To me, I find that the software could use an improvement in UI at times. I notice other clients using a different product that has a nicer feel
