EIS Suite Likes & Dislikes
This service meets customer satisfaction.
Our strong partnership gives us access to key players, both from engineering and from product management. We are also able to raise issues to the right management level.
The ability to adapt to what is needed to make our business successful.
Sometimes it's taking time to give updates to customers.
Since we are working with the next-gen product, the documentation is insufficient and the upgrade process is complex. EIS being a relatively young and small company, their expert resources are limited and can work in silos.
the communications between the different core's could be better.

Modern tech stack, digital/instant ready, protected IP layer, excellent code quality.
EIS' modern architecture (component based, in the cloud, API-driven, digital ready) was exactly what we were looking for in order to meet our tech stack objectives plus meet the digital & instant needs of today's consumers. And EIS' base code / partner code structure makes it possible to accept future base code updates while still maintaining our own IP protected differentiators that sit on top. The component nature of EIS' architecture gave us the additional flexibility to decide which modules we wanted to incorporate - policy, billing, claims, etc. And there is one unifying master customer record that keeps track of all leads and active policies for each customer - essential to demonstrate that we know our customers and also to identify potential cross-sell opportunities. We were able to implement 3 product lines (each with multiple plan variations and state variations) in 15 months, including one product line that we co-developed with EIS from the ground up. EIS' code quality is very high. Their focus on business analysis prior to development sometimes takes longer than we would like, but it increases code quality and ensures the ability to take base code updates. And when defects do occur, EIS fixes them quickly. I'd never say implementation of a project this big was easy, and it took a few different project management approaches to gain traction. We got to a good place in development velocity, but it took us a while. We also underestimated the level of effort that integrations to our systems and changes to EIS' APIs would require.
