PowerCampus has a robust database design. The SQL Server database allows us to connect to our other onsite databases. The action rule feature is a powerful way to automate processes.
The database behind Ellucian PowerCampus is stable, despite it's structure. The user facing self service piece provides adequate functionality but presents customization issues.
Definitely the robust and easy to use product. It is a very specialize platform for universities and students management.
The user interface is a bit dated, and users will complain about it sometimes. Updates to Self Service require a larger breadth of technical knowledge. Ellucian is discontinuing this product and forcing the customers to a SaaS product that does not meet many of our needs.
Ellucian PowerCampus support provides very limited customization. Some aspects of the application have malfunctioned for years without being updated and addressed. The interface and operability are very dated and nearly obsolete.
In the beginning the lack of knowledge about it, since it has a lot a functionally that take some time to learn.
