Identifying threats from inspected traffic, especially from critical resources like DCs, etc in a network and giving detailed information on drill down and be able to download the packets to look into.
Detections are brought front and centre to the UI with the possibility of alerting and suggested remediation. Machine learning capabilities mean that detections are constantly kept up to date. Data is easy to access from the UI even when carrying out deep-dives on particular assets.
The tool is easy to use and quickly provides metrics and insights that are actionable
Occasional false positives, lack of concrete evidence on the findings.
Multiple appliances are required to support a single platform. Regularly changing priorities in regard to focus - there was previously a sole security focus but now Network Performance Monitoring has been brought back into available products. Configuration changes are not always straightforward and although thorough, the documentation doesn't always guide you through the process step-by-step.
It has become more difficult to negotiate on renewals and purchases since the company was acquired by private equity a few years ago. We are also concerned about slower product development.
