Below are our favorite aspects of the service: A curated support team that is always there to address concerns and answer questions. Frequent updates to the system along with an explanation of why you should update. Responsiveness to threats; Both emails from the system itself and from the SOC monitoring team withing minutes of suspicious activity.
Fidelis contains very effective decoders for identifying enveloped data within packets. These decoders or leaves are valuable to drill into an alert to determine malicious components whether that is traffic based or if malware is being passed through a network. The platform also has the ability to take action against certain kinds of traffic by resetting connections.
Fidelis Elevate Network is an integral component of our security posture. We use it for network based detections, DLP, and email security. The Fidelis support structure has been outstanding to help us get the most value from the product.
Some areas of improvement that are mostly nitpicking: Tighter integration with other tools: network activity monitoring, server and system activity monitoring, etc. On the endpoint side of things, would be nice to see the endpoint client fully take over as a proper anti-malware/virus in addition to its current functionality. This would alleviate the need for another solution. While the admin dashboard is great, the endpoint and network dashboards are separate things. I would like to see these things combined to avoid navigating back and forth during operations.
Although Fidelis does offer their own EDR platform, Fidelis does not easily integrate with other EDR solutions. Occassionally Fidelis will fail to capture the full metadata of a packet which makes investigation difficult.
I would like to see more development along the lines of anomalous behavior detection.
