I cannot imagine hybrid work without AnyConnect VPN solution. Works seamlessly with daily operations. No more messy policies with the Firepower management tool. The last one is integration with other Cisco solutions and ecosystem.
Overall the product is stable, and any bugs that I've hit with the platform have not impacted operations in any way.
The most important feature that we are using is VPN - site to site and SSL vpn. Firewall management interface is easy to go which helps admins to configure the policies or any configuratatuon with a lot of ease. IPS feature of firewall helps us to prevent unknown attacks and url filtering helps in layer 7 filtering which eases in preventing application attacks.
In my opinion, the learning curve can be the main challenge. You will need time to catch all the features and solutions you can implement and improve your business. For smaller businesses, the price can be too high. Maybe a better knowledge base would be useful.
Existence of FlexConfig. Lack of main stream EIGRP configuration. This product replaced the Cisco's old firewall product line, but wasn't actually a true replacement. The UI is clunky and ultimately Secure Firewall lacks CLI capabilities.
Upgrading the firewall is challenging because it gets stuck sometimes and takes longer than expected to come. Another is the many recent vulnerabilities with firewalls. Cisco has released the CVEs that are affected and vulnerable to infra hence we had to go with multiple upgrades in recent months.
