Accelerated App Delivery and Data Security Highlight Platform Strengths and Challenges

Two and a half years in. Honest take from someone running an IT services company where Foundry is now backing into how we deliver for clients. Last week one of my PMS showed a client a working procurement risk app on day 9 of the engagement. That's not normal in this industry. The platform earns its price for us because we resell that velocity. If we were a regular enterprise just using it internally I'd probably have a more fixed view on the spend. So yeah. It's Good. Would buy again.

The actual thing, not the marketing version. Once your data model has actions wired into SAP or NetSuite or whatever the customer runs, the conversation changes. Business users do things, not just look at things. It took us a year to internalize that data. Speed to first working app is genuinely fast if your people know what they're doing. We had a workshop app in front of client stakeholders in under two weeks. Their FDEs are real engineers. Not pre-sales people pretending. The one we worked with on the manufacturing rollout last year basically saved that account. Lineage and security model. As someone responsible for client data, this matters a lot. Knowing exactly where a number came from and who can see it is not optional in our world.

Dislike

It is a strongly tight ecosystem and that toughens the learning curve and adoption phase. You must learn its own concepts and terms and that is not ecosystem friendly.
