Relationship with GE has matured as our understanding and expertise with the product has matured. We have been tenacious in driving GE to optimise the outcomes from the product development both directly with GE and through our chairmanship of the PowerOn user group. GE have responded accordingly. We have seen stronger commitment to customer service from GE since the merger with Alstom.

The product is evergreen and constantly improving with seamless annual upgrades to the latest software version at no additional cost. Historically we would have to pay for upgrades with other suppliers at significant cost. Another feature is the ability to adapt the product through highly flexible end user configuration to meet our business requirements/processes.

It was extremely reliable

The product seems to be highly configurable.

Cost of customer initiated changes to the software. Also, lack of commitment to NPI (Net Product Improvement) in addressing the top 5 issues/improvements identified through the Australian and NZ user forum.

Magik is not a well-known language so expertise can be hard to find.

The product needs more polishing

Our implementation of an ADMS is on pilot project basis and our RFP agreement with vendor was to work as partners but sometimes we feel that the vendor forgot about the partnership part of our agreement.
