La agilidad en la entrega de valor a la organización. La generación de funcionalidades es mucho más rápida y el conocimiento no reside en los analistas de TI. Está en el negocio. Esto permite una continuidad en la operación de la organización. Otro factor relevante es la posibilidad de independizar la lógica de negocio de la arquitectura. Podemos pasar de AS/400 a SQLServer sin perder funcionalidades ni invertir esfuerzos en transformación u homologación de código. Lo otro es el manejo de obsolescencias y cumplimiento de normas y estándares. Con GeneXus esto se simplifica un montón ya que puedes regenerar tus aplicaciones o componentes completos en nuevas versiones.

Realmente lo que no me ha gustado es los cambios que han incorporado de una versión a otra en el IDE que hace que los desarrolladores les cueste un poco adaptarse. Lo otro es que secaron las funciones de Ayuda del mismo IDE y lo trasladaron a repositorios web que te llevan a páginas que no necesariamente están relacionadas a la funcionalidad que estás consultando.
