1. The search is really intuitive, it's just as simple as it is typing into a regular Google search bar 2. The filter options are excellent, making it much easier to narrow down the search results. i.e. I very commonly filter by a certain file type when I know what I'm looking for. 3. The main perk of the tool in being able to search across everything on the back end is awesome. Our company has files owned by thousands of different people and are spread out all over the place, and without Google Cloud Search, it's nearly impossible to find something unless you remember to save a link or bookmark to every single item you might possibly want to reference again.
I like it when it provides search results from wikis, research papers and discussion forums with answers.
I like how it seamlessly pulls information from across Google workspace. Searching emails, drive files, calendar events and even sites all in one place save a ton of time. The smart Suggestions and quick access surfaces relevant documents i didnt realize i needed which helps me catch important data and information. Across all different devices, the interface works the same way so i can find what i need without a lot of hiccups.
I don't know that I really dislike anything per se, but the things that could maybe be improved are: 1. Adding AI capabilities to better help show results I'm most likely to care about 2. Being able to search across more things beyond what is immediately stored somewhere in the Google Cloud (this may be possible and our company just hasn't done the integration) 3. Maybe giving me options to customize the way that I search on a user-personal level would be nice
Advertisements and useless information it provides when the whole purpose of the product is to provide information the user searches for.
Inconsistent relevance with the search where it doesn't prioritize the most useful or recent documents which means i have to scroll or refine my query. Permission and access confusion with shared files or restricted folders dont always show up. Limited advanced filtering options are somewhat limited compared to other enterprise search tools.

Powerful enterprise search
Google Cloud Search has been a powerful tool for finding information quickly across organizational content so far. The speed and accuracy of of search results is very good and the integration to the google workspace makes it very convenient for the colleagues who work with the workspace daily. There are occasional challenges with indexing third-party data sources and the learning curve for customization can be a bit steep at times. Overall it has improved productivity by making information much more accessible.
