I think the customer service and the committment to innovation.
I like the ability to review video footage and photos of the student and photo ID cards taken before the exam begins. Using this and the IP address location is helpful to ensure students are authentic and students are less likely to cheat knowing they are being recorded.
The product is easy for students to use and for instructors to understand. When we run into problems they are always available to help. Their 24/7 student support is a huge benefit to our institution. Their support and management teams are personable and responsive to our needs.
There are of course some limits on the AI piece, but those are evolving. I wish the profiles were a little more flexible and sometimes the setup can be difficult for students but I have seen them address those issues.
Some of the flags are not really flags. For example, if a student reads the question out loud, Honorlock flags it for speech detected. Students may use photos of IDs rather than authentic photo identification cards.
Any product of this nature is going to have technical difficulties along the way. We have had far fewer technical setbacks with Honorlock than we did with the other proctoring companies
