We like the CodeArts pipeline. These services will not only help us to integrate with other CodeArts services but also with third party services by Marketplace. The platform provides lots of official plugins that can help us to use it build our CICD pipeline easily, we can also develop our customized plugins and share them inside the company to save as assets to reuse. We can also use RBAC to make sure that not everyone can edit the pipeline, and make the standard pipeline.
CodeArts Check provides powerful capabilities to help improve code quality. We'd like a tool for cross-function code vulnerabilities and identify risks across the whole development process for us. After using CodeArts Check, a lot of deep vulnerabilities can be detected, which helps us to improve code quality. By the way, it support to check all languages using by our projects and many check rules, which is trusted by our company.
We like CodeArts Repo the most. It provides git-based distributed code management and collaborative development capabilities. It has lots of advantages compared with other git-based tools, like it provides a repository that can handle MR(Merge request) and CR(Change request). It provides ultimate security, including backup, encryption, WAF application protection and more. We use this product everyday, and its user experience is also really good. We like it. The MR and CR modes really help us use one repository to handle two different development modes, android AOSP development and web development.
We don't like the CodeArts req. It provides requirements management capabilities. We really like some of the features. For example, the traceability map we use everyday. But it is not very powerful. We have a lot of customized requirement models, we cannot migrate to CodeArt Req directly, because it provides fixed requirement models. We need to modify our models.
The user experience of CodeArts console needs to be enhanced. Charge notifications frequently show up, and we have to manually close it each time. And it is hard to have the full view of the total resource usage, we suggest to add more charts about the overall usage.
Some of the features are quite difficult to grasp, and the product's openness is somewhat limited. Some tools are not natively integrated into the platform, requiring us to develop custom plugins to integrate third-party tools. This makes it somewhat difficult for a beginner to use.
