Huawei SD-WAN Solution

Our school has been suffering from an unstable existing wireless network and can not cover all areas of the campus. After setting up Huawei SD-WAN, it can support stable and fast network access for us, our HD music teaching videos and live performances never lag, transferring large audio/score files between campuses is quick and smooth. Unified Management is easy to use. Our IT team doesn't need to spend much time on maintenance, it also supports secure access for teachers and students, protecting our teaching resources

Our University has deployed Huawei SD-WAN solution for data exchange among several campuses and cloud-based services. We have two campuses and one training center. These three sites need to coordinate resources across campuses and exchange data, such as lab data and student information, which must be encrypted during transmission. The SD-WAN solution is an excellent choice because it allows Gbps-level data exchange using VPNs and also provides wide-area optimization functions (e.g., packet loss resistance, data compression) to ensure data security and real-time application experience. In addition, we connect to cloud resources, such as video-based online courses and experimental teaching on Alibaba Cloud, to carry out tasks like online teaching and scientific research computing. Huawei SD-WAN solution enables stable and fast access to SaaS clouds with just one hop, ensuring that students can attend online classes and conduct experiments without frequent disconnections.

For the healthcare industry, network reliability is the most important thing for us.However, the cost of using all private lines is too high. Huawei SD-WAN solution delivers good performance in terms of network reliability and link usage balance.After SD-WAN is deployed,we use private lines and internet networks at the same time,and choose China Unicom and China Mobile.Some office services that require high bandwidth usage use the internet network.The annual OPEX is saves by millions yuan.

We deployed Huawei SD-WAN to connect our branches located in major cities across the country, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu, for transmitting office and file-related services. Generally, we conduct video meetings and transfer work files among these branches. Since the work files are usually large (for example, audio and video files used for intelligent AI recognition), we require intelligent traffic steering and key application assurance to ensure that video meetings and file transfer services can be transmitted quickly without any interference. Without a doubt, Huawei SD-WAN has achieved this goal. In addition, we also have Alibaba Cloud requirements, and the one-hop cloud access feature of SD-WAN has significantly improved our access speed to Alibaba Cloud, which has been highly satistactory to our colleagues.

Scientific research exchange activities are usually conducted through remote meetings. Huawei SD-WAN ensures high-definition video quality and stable connection for remote conferences, enabling us to communicate and discuss smoothly with experts and scholars at home and abroad. In meetings, we can share screens and present research results, as natural as face-to-face communication. The QoS function of the SD-WAN preferentially guarantees the bandwidth of a video conference and ensures that the conference quality is not affected by other network traffic.
