We utilize this software for internal and external cost charges for the IT services performed. This software performs very well, if you want to track activity based costing and chargeouts, however if you just looking for daily chargeouts or any other summary model, this might be overkill.

My experience with this product is good, it helped me in seeing all spends in one spot is more helpful compared to other platforms as they are shown in different places, it pulls everything from azure and aws into a single cloud and helps us in handling all cloud waste in a single place using right resource selection.

IBM Apptio is our internal cloud cost management tool. I like IBM Apptio for its strong data model, which simplifies cost tracking and analysis significantly. The robust features create insightful information and are easy to visualize/communicate with our business cloud consumers. We use it to track and report IT spend, which is crucial for driving cost optimization discussions. These aspects of IBM Apptio make it incredibly beneficial for understanding the bill of cloud consumption and ensuring that all the business customers are aligned on spending insights.

Apptio has really helped us optmizing our cloud spend by adressing saving areas which we haven't focused on previously.
