Our use case for spss is deployment in courses. we want as close to what students will experience in industry as possible. We like to offer virtualization if possible, but understand where cloud solutions exist why that is difficult. we need instructors to have access to the same version of the software. we had a lot of trouble finding a workable solution for SPSS at scale i. our academic programs.

IBM SPSS Statistics is very simple and user friendly. Its GUI is very similar to other tools. Developing models is easy and the learning curve for the software is also very less. We used it for the discrete choice modelling, it it did most of the work. The results generated are reliable and easy to interpret. from developing graphs (weibull plot and all) to most of the regression (binary, MNL etc. ) model, it does most of the work

Easy to learn for individuals without coding experience. Multivariate visualization tools that allow researchers to see relationships between variables more clearly. Open source integration.

The issues we faced included that for categorical variables in discrete choice modelling there are limitations on reference categories. further mixed logit model development is also not flexible. Multiple random parameters can't be selected.

License fees. Layout and design are kind of outdated compared to other statistical software. Setup takes time.
