Rapid, visual data preparation - The drag-and-drop workflow canvas lets analysts prototype and iterate transforms quickly, so we were able to deliver the first set of dealer input files in a matter of days rather than weeks. 2.Wide connectivity - Alteryx connects to our source systems and intermediate stores easily, so we can pull combined views and produce unified inputs for Qlik. 3.Reduced manual handoffs - Automating the file generation eliminated many manual extraction and formatting steps that previously caused delays and errors for dealer reporting.
Read Full ReviewAs previously mentioned, the automation is a great feature. Our organization is heavily invested in integration, so this tool fits that bill as well. Even if you have little coding knowledge, you can navigate this tool pretty easily.
Read Full ReviewThe most likely thing about the product is that the ease of unifying the data preparation, automation and analytics in an single environment. The drag and drop workflows that are available in the product saves a lot of time and its ability to automate the recurring process reduces the operational workload. As i mentioned earlier the version control and centralised management is a good thing in the product.

1. Licensing cost - Alteryx can be expensive as you scale users, server usage and workloads, thus budget planning is essential. This can contribute to operational overhead too as running an Alteryx server requires dedicated admin effort. 2.Performance on large datasets- for extremely large datasets and tables we sometimes need to push processing down to the database or rethink or restructure the workflow to avoid long run times 3.Version control and collaboration friction - Visual workflows are powerful, but managing versions and code-style reviews is less straightforward than with text-based pipelines.

Read Full ReviewThe platform is such a good thing, but certain advanced operations still require manual tuning and infra optimisation. Some connectors and the API do require some additional configs which is an additional work constraint. Some complex workflows can be challenging and workflows can become resource-intensive, especially when running parallel workflows on shared compute nodes.

I used Alteryx to build a set of repeatable workflows that produced Qlik compatible input files and delivered them to the dashboard files so dealers could access fresh and consistent data. Overall, the experience has been very positive-Alteryx sped up the end-to-end data pipeline from days of manual work to automated runs, let our analysts prototype transformations quickly with a visual, low-code canvas, and reduced the number of data quality issues reaching the dashboards. According to me, the experience with the Alteryx One platform has been good so far. And, when it comes to day-to-day daily usage, it is excellent to see how it is helping in centralising the data prep, automation and the analytics in one place, also significantly reducing the overhead of IT. The Alteryx One Platform's reliability, scheduling and governance features make it easier to support teams across the organisation without constant manual intervention. It has improved our data operations maturity and allowed IT people to deliver faster and more scalable analytics solutions.
