Ignition has been a key enabler to validate a distributed IoT Architecture in our organization. We implemented a Proof of Concept using Ignition Edge on a Raspberry Pi 400 integrated with physical sensors (Temperature and Humidity) vi Arduino, achieving real-time visualization and control from a Central Gateway.
The experience was stable, the learning curve reasonable, and the documentation clear. Its flexibility to integrate standard protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT) ensured smooth interoperability between OT and IT environments.
