I really like the ease of job posting, the resume search capabilities, the reach of the platform to find quality candidates quickly.
I like that people know and trust Indeed for the most part. I like that it organizes my applicants based on how well they fit the description, that it can send useful auto messages, that it lets me track who I have reviewed and what I thought of them, and that it lets me save templates for replies. The video software is easy to use and using it helps makes sure the applicant is a real person and a bit tech savvy which is useful for the jobs I'm recruiting for. It also connects to the interviewers Google Calendar or Outlook for ease of use and you can also really customize the interview time-slots and rules.
Quality versus quantity issues with the indeed network attracting lots of unqualified applicants, the templates for job postings can be limited in their customisation, the pricing structure can add up quickly for high visibility roles
I wish there were better options for paying for candidates as I dont feel we should have to pay for candidates who dont meet the minimum qualifications; nor are the eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. I also wish there were better ways to filter out unqualified candidates; despite setting up knock-out parameters to limit unqualified candidates, I still have to sift through many unqualified resumes to get a solid candidate pool.
One of the main issues with the Indeed platform is that it is always trying to upsell you which can be frustrating. You have to use Cronofy, which is Indeed's chosen calendar partner, which is fine but can be an issue for some. The reminder functionality could also be better.
