One good point of the software is that it can block, allow or restrict specific devices based on user roles and different rules and policies. Also, sensitive data is encrypted when it is transferred to removable media. Ivanti Device Control offers a management console that provides logs and for easy managing devices and policies.
I think the best thing about this program is that it has a lot of great functions which can be very versatile and flexible for users. It has a lot of functions and can be used for many reasons.
It reduces the attack surface without disrupting business operations, prevents data leaks and intellectual property theft and stops data loss prevention.
One of the weaknesses is that the initial integration and setup is a bit difficult and time-consuming. Reporting capabilities are also not that good and comprehensive. The third weakness of Ivanti Device Control is that the cloud environment setup is limited although it works well on on-premise environments.
There are a couple of major issues with this program, and it's up to you to figure out all the kinks. The other thing is it is super complicated and not very user friendly. I'm sure after awhile someone could get used to it but at first glance it is tricky. Customer service hasn't been super helpful either.
Initial setup can be time consuming if it is a large business, and device control policies sometimes block the legitimate devices causing workflow interruptions.
