Jama Software has been a robust solution for writing, tracking, and managing business/functional requirements, test cases, or just about any of the types of documentation you want to manage in a single repository for your business. Of course, robust solutions require effective administration, and there are many ways to utilize the system that require a great amount of time setting conventions for users. Once set and everyone is approaching the system the same way, using Jama can be lucrative.

Jama required too much effort to configure and set up. The software seemed to assume a level of knowledge related to requirements documentation that was above our internal capabilities. Even after a signficant amount of paid consultation with Jama I don't feel like we recaptured the amount of money spent on the subscription during the two years we used the product.
