The simplicity on how KNIME tool is built, providing different versions for more technical users and a more user-friendly one. The tool quickly conquered the room in our operations by demonstrating value through results and automated processes, showing the users that even analytical processes can be automated with the right tool and right development. This also supports the automation of very specific tasks that would not be automated through an RPA development, so small and big fishes can be tackled by leveraging KNIME.
KNIME offers a comprehensive suite of machine learning algorithms, including advanced techniques like neural networks, and integrates with popular machine learning libraries. Being a pandas master helped majorly with quick review of data/ data cleanup. KNIME's open source nature and ability to automate tasks can lead to cost savings compared to proprietary software solutions.
Features that i likes: * Easy drag and drop suite, with multiples function but with the same way to work draging what you need dropping wherever you want. * Easy workflow to analysis basic information but with a lot of insights with visuals. * A lot of tool to analysis data to improve your process managing of massive group of data.
Sometimes the initial perception is that KNIME is a very complex tool (even though this is not fully true), it can happen if change management actions are not in place and the organization where it is being deployed is heavily excel based.
KNIME does not support any multi-threading within a node, so if you work with bigger datasets it's quite slow. While the KNIME community is active and helpful, sometimes the support isn't as comprehensive or responsive as that provided by commercial vendors. There is data preparation challenges which might be easier in other tools.
Features that i don't like: * Library of extensions, in some cases it's pretty difficult to understand how to install or how to deploy new features that you install. * Some connection to data are difficult to manage and understand advanced configuration. * The new UX it's different and in some case difficult the easy way to start working, in some case you have to click a lot of things to find out if you are new using recently versions.

Highly Documented, Efficient for Machine Learning but Has Scalability Issues
KNIME is really good for its use case and has great documentation. It is a domain specific tool with some really great prepacked nodes. Its well-defined API has allowed for easy extensions with custom facilities and plugins.
