Supporting legacy environments and providing effective mitigations to identified risks.
Mainframe services have all the ability and functionality required by the business. Technical support for Kyndryl services is quite good as well. Cloud services are something we extensively use and have been proven to be fast and reliable with good failovers should things go down or offline for technical work carried out.
They have the ablity to standardize practices both on-premise and in the cloud. They leverage the usage of automation to reduce manual effort and anticipate incidents.
Project management has room for improvement
Issues in resolving problems can play a big factor, being shunted from one department to another seems to be a big thing there. Legacy infrastructure took a while to move across and had teething issues to which no-one really took charge off. Technical support desk takes a long time to react, ticket logs can be left unattended for days without updates.
Lack of proactivity on Obsolescence Management. We are working with Kyndryl since more than 15 years, so they know very well our orgnization and application landscape. So I'm expecting more proposition from them (as an exemple, the Distaster Recovery implementation and optmimization)
