The drag-and-drop features along with ready-made templates is so much useful and it's easy to use, while still giving experienced developers the flexibility to make custom changes and add new features. 3 - Mendix does more than just help build apps, It covers everything from development to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance which is a great help for the team who is starting with fresh mavericks and few seniors.

The easiness of deployment pipelines through environments and apps.

Anyone who has a desire to learn and has a builders mindset can learn how to build amazing, full featured, and complex applications for any use case and any platform.

1 - While the basic tools are simple to learn, but more complex features and custom setups takes a lot of time and energy. 2 - As we grow and add more users or environments, the cost of licenses can become large, especially for smaller teams. It's a strong platform, but you need to plan your growth carefully to avoid over burden in terms of money. 3 - Although Mendix is very flexible, there are times when creating very specific or detailed custom designs requires extra effort.

Over the years updates seem less consistent. e.g. seems like fundamental stuff sometimes breaks within the modeler. Also the modelers became very unstable crashing multiple times per day with heavy use.

Biggest issues are with their support helpdesk. It also depends pretty dramatically based on the person your ticket is assigned to. Some of them are outstanding to work with while others seem to be unresponsive and unhelpful. This is especially true if the issue you are reporting is complicated.
