I recently completed the Mendix Rapid Developer training, and I was impressed by how quickly I was able to build functional web applications without writing any code. Another highlight is the abundance of self-learning resources provided by Mendix / Siemens. The documentation, forums and learning paths are comprehensive and easy to follow, which empowers users to progress independently and at their own pace.

The licensing model is a little complex, especially whe trying to align it with different project sizes. It's challenging to determine the most cost-effective and scalable option during the selection phase I have not had a chance yet to test the deployment process for iOS. While Mendix handles web app deployment very effectively, the steps for publishing to Apple platforms still require further exploration on my side, and I will need to invest more time to complete that part of the process.
Read Full ReviewOver the years updates seem less consistent. e.g. seems like fundamental stuff sometimes breaks within the modeler. Also the modelers became very unstable crashing multiple times per day with heavy use.
Read Full ReviewAt times it feels like some of the documentation can be inconsistent, which makes it harder to troubleshoot at times. Also, a few integrations and advanced features feel a bit limited without customer development.
