The biggest strength of Menlo Security is how effectively it neutralizes web based threats without disrupting the user experience. From an admin perspective, it dramatically reduces risk from phishing and zero-day exploits and malicious websites by isolating web sessions. This shift security from reactive detection to true prevention which is exactly where modern security needs to be. Now from an end-user standpoint, Menlo is mostly invisible which is actually a good thing. Browsing feels normal, performance is consistent and there's minimal friction compared to other web gateways. I am not interrupted with warnings or false positives which significantly improves adoption and reduces shadow IT behavior.

Strong added layer for mature security teams

Menlo browser isolation safeguards users by executing all web sessions in a secure and robust environment within a highly scalable cloud environment. It prevents malicious code such as malware, ransomware and phishing attacks ever reaching local devices. Another great feature is file download protection with on the fly rewriting of untrusted files eg: DOCX to ensure any malicious content is removed while the user can access the information he/she requires. Great support, always available when we have questions or issues and their support works closely with us to resolve issues promptly

Menlo Security's weakness I think are mostly around edge cases rather than core security. Certain complex or highly interactive web app can experience minor performance issues or altered behavior due to browser isolation, which may require policy exceptions to resolve. While basic deployment is straightforward, advanced configuration and troubleshooting demand deeper understanding of the platform, making it less set and forget for some environment. Additionally, reporting dashboard customization are somewhat limited which is restrictive if one have a highly tailored analytics or reporting.

They need to innovate at a quicker pace. They have not been able to keep up with their competitors in features.
