NetScaler ADC: One of the Leaders for a Reason

    4.0
    Nov 5, 2024
What makes NetScaler to be one, if not, the best Application Delivery Controller is that it optimizes application delivery to end users with excellent performance gains. Aside from the application's performance, it will also be secure. NetScaler has been one of the leading ADCs in the market and a lot of our customers continue to use it for those reasons. However, due to the recent acquisition by CSG, it may have become a bit pricey for our small to medium customers.

The main features of NetScaler that I find mostly used are the following - SSL Offloading - GSLB - Security Updates - NetScaler Gateway Majority of our customers have web applications that they want to load balance and they are using HTTPS. NetScaler reduces the utilization of web servers due to its SSL offloading capability. GSLB is also widely used as they are looking for a seamless load balancing solutions and DR solution for multiple sites. NetScaler also updates their security bulletin from time to time, ensuring customers that they are being secured from all vulnerabilities. Lastly, the majority of CVAD customers we have also purchased NS Gateway to secure their CVAD sessions using its ZTNA principle that the gateway uses.

Terrible support. Account team too focused on next sale. Citrix Support relies too much on user community to provide testing and support FAQs. Most of the Citrix fix procedures come from user community info.
