“Transparent User Experience With Netskope One SASE Reduces Complaints To Near Zero”

5.0
Aug 24, 2025
My overall experience with Netskope has been highly positive. From the outset, getting started with the product was quite easy, largely due to the support provided by both the vendor and their partner during onboarding. While we do not measure the product's value in isolation, it has been instrumental in improving our organization's security maturity. We leverage its implementation to cover specific KPIs and enhance our overall security maturity score. Netskope has also greatly enhanced our visibility into previously hidden aspects of our operations. It has helped us discover "shadow IT" operations that we lacked clear visibility into before its implementation. In my assessment, it is the most complete platform I have encountered in this domain. From an end-user perspective, a key indicator of a security solution's success is its transparency. When a security solution is completely transparent, and users do not experience issues or voice complaints, it signifies that the platform is performing exceptionally well and achieving its objectives while meeting initial requirements. I emphasize this because of very negative past experiences with other products and platforms. Prior to migrating to Netskope, we had a competitive product that we had to almost entirely disable for our users due to an overwhelming number of complaints. This stark contrast highlights Netskope's effectiveness. Regarding actionable insights and analytics, we engage in monthly discussions with the partner supporting the vendor. These sessions are crucial for reviewing existing policies and identifying opportunities to improve the platform's efficiency and capabilities. Furthermore, the threat protection level offered, including malware protection, is among the best available in the market. We have encountered performance issues approximately one to two times per year, but these have been swiftly resolved. Once a support ticket is raised, issues are typically resolved within two hours.

Netskope One SASE with Netskope One SD-WAN Likes & Dislikes

Like

What I like most about Netskope revolves around its advanced security features and its seamless user experience. A significant improvement observed has been in our workload management. Previously, with our legacy product, we faced numerous complaints from users. However, we now receive almost no complaints from users on a monthly basis, effectively reducing them to near zero. This change also signifies that the solution effectively meets our set requirements. Firstly, the platform's capability to discover and classify shadow IT operations is exceptional. This feature provides unparalleled visibility into services that were previously hidden, and in my experience, it is one of the best on the market. This has been crucial for us in gaining control and understanding our operational landscape more thoroughly. Secondly, the Private Access feature is incredibly robust and simply works as intended. It has been instrumental in our journey towards ZTNA. The reliability and effectiveness of this feature are a significant advantage. Another aspect I highly value is the product's transparency from an end-user perspective. When a security solution operates so seamlessly that users do not notice it, and consequently, do not raise any complaints, it truly indicates its effectiveness. This level of transparency means the platform is performing exceptionally well and successfully meeting its objectives and our initial requirements. This stands in stark contrast to my prior negative experiences with other security products, where user complaints were so frequent that we almost had to disable a competitive platform before migrating to Netskope. This dramatic reduction in user complaints, almost to 0, is a testament to Netskope's success. Lastly, the threat protection level, particularly concerning malware, is outstanding. I consider it to be one of the best offerings available in the market. This strong security posture provides a high degree of confidence in protecting our assets.

The product is constantly coming up with new features that enhance our security posture visibility. We work with a close team on our account which allows us to get quick support if an issue were to arise. User experience is key and is the biggest benefit I have seen from using Netskope, users traditionally never realize their traffic is being proxied due to the consistency in the network backbone that Netskope provides.

Dislike

While Netskope is a great product, there are a couple of specific areas where I believe improvements could be made. The first area of concern is the client update and management process itself. We occasionally experience issues with the client on the endpoints, specifically with updating and managing the client, rather than the platform as a whole. Addressing these client-side update and management challenges would significantly enhance the overall user experience and reduce administrative burden. The second specific point of dissatisfaction relates to the availability of Points of Presence (POP) locations across Europe. In my experience, these POP locations do not provide adequate coverage for the entire European continent. For instance, being based in Greece, there is currently no local POP available in Greece. Consequently, my outgoing gateway is routed through Austria. This situation means I do not have the option to set up a local gateway from Greece for my clients, which can potentially impact performance or connectivity for users in areas with limited local POP coverage.

Dislike

SASE software is still evolving and lacks some mainstream features. The GUI is not the most intuitive and needs to mature.

Dislike

There are a couple of things I'd like to see Netskope work on as they expand and update their tools and services. Our environment requires very strict versioning to ensure a consistent onboarding experience for new hires, at the moment there is no built in way to specifically manage what minor release version is allowed in your environment, but there is support for the major golden releases. One additional thing to note is that there seems to be a bit of a delay with getting full integrations with more AI applications, we have also previously had issues with seeing network/app traffic to copilot, although they are releasing new integrations and connections constantly.

Netskope Improves Security and User Experience Despite Minor Integration Challenges

Uptime is pretty reliable; we also have a great user connection experience using Netskope which was a problem we faced before with other vendors. Support has been awesome to work with, although there is still some room for improvement in streamlining the support process. We are also able to go into depth on application policy, which is a huge improvement for our security posture, especially as we move into the world of AI. Theres a lot included with the service which really covers a wide set of security use cases we look to cover at my organization
