The ability to customize workflow and allow individual locations to customize keywords/names list has been very helpful. We were able to create custom modules to replace old Lotus Notes applications.
I enjoy the reminder emails when new or updated content needs to be reviewed. I also appreciate the ability to save documents as favorites. This allows me to save content I may need to quickly reference in the future.
The product configuration capabilities are very powerful - almost any gap that we find, we can implement a fix to accommodate or work around. Although the product is not suitable for our industry out-of-box, we are able to adapt custom modules to suit our needs.
1. Some modules are complicated. For example Audit Management requires checklists, audit types, audit plans, and audits. We have customized/simplified to only using checklists and audits. 2. Document Control came with numerous workflows. It would have been better to have one workflow and a field for a document type. This eases changes in workflows later. 3. During intial set-up we had ETQ customize the Change Management form for organizational management. When we later wanted to add more fields, a known bug prevented us from adding more. If they had made the MOOC a separate form, it would have allowed for future expansion.
The reporting features are difficult and complex to run. Additionally, the search functionality is not as effective as I'd like and required sifting through too many options.
I wish there were more medical device-compliant modules out of box. It would be tremendous to have a compliant suite deployable out of box, but still have the customization capabilities to fine-tune where needed.
